UK Ring Sizes: How to Find Yours

British ring sizes run by letter, from H to Z and beyond. Getting the letter right at home is easy if you measure at the right moment of day.
The letters
UK sizes run alphabetically: H, I, J, K and upward, each half letter about 0.4 mm of inside diameter. Most women take L to P. Most men take R to V.
Measuring at home
Cut a strip of paper 1 cm wide, wrap it round the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres. That is the inside circumference. Divide by 3.14 for the diameter, and compare against a UK size chart.
When to measure
Fingers swell in heat and after exercise and shrink in cold. Measure in the evening at room temperature, when your hands are at their most typical. Measure three times on different days and take the largest.
Width changes the fit
A wide band feels tighter than a narrow one of the same size. For a band over 6 mm, go up half a size.
How we make and mark it
Every piece here is made for ONLYWAY JEWELRY in London and, where the law requires it, hallmarked at the London Assay Office. The hallmark is not decoration: it is an independent test of the metal, struck by an assay office rather than by the maker. What the marks mean.
The price on the page is the price you pay. Delivery within the United Kingdom is tracked and included, and you have thirty days to send a piece back. Delivery and returns.
