How to Measure Your Wrist for a Bracelet

A bracelet that fits should move when you move and stop short of sliding over the hand. Here is how to find that number in a minute.
Measuring
Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where the bracelet will sit. Mark where it meets, lay it flat against a ruler and read the number. That is your wrist measurement, not your bracelet size.
Adding for comfort
Add 1.5 cm for a close fit and 2 cm for a looser one. A chain bracelet wants the looser number, a bangle the closer one. Most women take 17 to 19 cm and most men 20 to 22 cm.
When a bracelet feels wrong
If it spins so the clasp sits on top, it is too long. If it leaves a mark, it is too short. Both are fixable: most chain bracelets can be lengthened or shortened by a link.
How we make and mark it
Every piece here is made for ONLYWAY JEWELRY in London and, where the law requires it, hallmarked at the London Assay Office. The hallmark is not decoration: it is an independent test of the metal, struck by an assay office rather than by the maker. What the marks mean.
The price on the page is the price you pay. Delivery within the United Kingdom is tracked and included, and you have thirty days to send a piece back. Delivery and returns.
