Gourmet (curb) Chain: What It Is and Who It Suits
The gourmet, known in Britain as the curb, is a chain of twisted oval links that lie flat when the chain is laid down. Diamond cutting shaves a facet along each link so it flickers as it moves.
How it wears
The most hard-wearing everyday chain there is, and the easiest to repair. A chain is worn against skin for hours at a time, so weight and flexibility matter more than the pattern alone: a chain that is beautiful but stiff ends up in a drawer.
Choosing a length
